Choice Book Report 2 PETEY Part 1

          My main character's name is Petey. Petey is a very understanding, determined, forgiving person. Petey has Cebral Palsy and when he was born he was misdiagnosed and was put into mental institutions.
          Petey is very understanding because his very good friends that helped him in the instituion would go everytime something was going right. An example is his good friend Cassie, had to leave him to reunite with her husband, and never be able to see him again, and Petey understood but was very sad. He also told her good luck.(p.94) That show how much he understands her. Another example is that Petey has been talked about being mental right next to him and he just smiles and knows he's smarter than most people he just can't talk as good as most people.
          Another good characteristic that Petey has is determination. An example would be is his good friend Calvin, helped Petey make his own language so he could communicate with Calvin. Petey tried extra hard to say words as clear as he could. Calvin was Petey's first person to be able to have conversations with. Another good example that shows Petey's determination is that Petey had a very poor wheelchair. He fought very hard to recieve a new one. In the end, he recieved a top class wheelchair. That shows a lot of determination.
          Petey also is very forgiving. That is a very good charcteristic. An example of him being forgiving is a bunch of boys saw him sitting on his wheelchair and they threw snowballs at him They did it for at least 10 minuetes and then ran away. A couple weeks later they came to apoligize and right away Petey took them in as friends. That is one of Petey's great characteristics.
          I think that Petey makes the book so much more interesting with his great charcteristics. He is very understanding, determined and forgiving person. These are just a few of his characteristics that make him a very interesting character.
